FluidMiner takes care of your lubricants and regulates them automatically.
FluidMiner measures, among other things: viscosity, temperature, water level and oil contamination. This data is then transmitted to a server/cloud, where it is analyzed using prescriptive algorithms. The algorithms can identify trends and anomalies in the data, which may be indicators of future lubricant quality-related failures.
If an anomaly is detected, operators are alerted so that they can take corrective action. For example, variations in the quantities of metal particles present in the oil can be used to accurately detect wear on target machine components:
High iron levels may indicate excessive wear, contamination by external metal particles or impending failure.
Aluminum is commonly used in engine blocks, cylinder heads and pistons. High levels of aluminum may indicate wear of these components, engine overheating or the use of inappropriate coolant.
Copper is found in bearings, bushings and oil lines. High copper levels may indicate bearing wear, corrosion or contamination from external sources.
Cutting fluids are automatically regulated by the FluidMiner (FM-M version), which is capable of adding water and lubricant while automatically maintaining the bath height.
