MEASUREMENT STANDARDS
Fluid health (viscosity & additives): ISO 3104 / ASTM D445 for viscosity, ASTM D664 or ASTM D4739 for total acid number (TAN) and total base number (TBN).

Contamination & wear: ASTM D5185 for wear-metal and additive analysis, ASTM E2412 for infrared tracking of soot, water and oxidation.

Particle counting: ISO 4406.
